Foil cutting blades are selected around foil type, blade dimensions, mounting geometry and the required cut condition. Custom hole positions, carbide grade, edge geometry and surface finish can be reviewed against an approved drawing.
Foil Slitting Applications
Thin foil blades may be used for copper foil, aluminium foil, battery electrode materials and other precision web materials. The required cut edge depends on foil thickness, tension, support, speed and the way the blade is mounted in the slitting station.
Carbide Grade and Thin-Blade Control
Tungsten carbide can provide wear resistance for thin-foil work, while blade thickness, edge finish and hole accuracy influence stability. Grade and geometry should be selected from the actual foil and holder conditions rather than from size alone.
Inspection Information
A useful foil-blade specification identifies length, width, thickness, hole positions, flatness or straightness needs, surface condition and edge acceptance. Photos of the holder and the current cut defect help connect inspection points to production performance.
