Manufacturing Capability

Custom Industrial Knife Manufacturing to Your Specification

Manufacturing is part of our one-stop service for non-standard industrial knives. From drawing or sample review to machining, precision grinding, inspection and protected packing, the production route follows your approved specification. Japanese OKAMOTO surface grinding equipment supports our precision blade work.

Application-led production

Precision Blade Production Built Around the Cut

An industrial knife is defined by more than its outline. Material grade, hardness, flatness, mounting accuracy, edge geometry and surface condition all affect cut quality and service life. MEIRENTE manufactures standard replacement blades and drawing-based custom knives for slitting, pelletizing, fiber processing, food production, packaging and electronic materials.

Inside the process

Precision Blade Production, Controlled Step by Step

Each operation prepares the blade for the next, with control points tied to the approved drawing and application.

Machining and Feature Preparation

Precision blade features are prepared in enclosed machining equipment using dedicated workholding. Hole position, slots and reference faces follow the approved drawing, material and datum structure.

02 / Surface Grinding

OKAMOTO Precision Surface Grinding

Japanese OKAMOTO surface grinders are central to our precision blade production. Dedicated fixtures support face grinding, thickness control, flatness and parallelism before final edge work.

03 / Inspection

Inspection for Precision Blade Consistency

Critical dimensions and functional features are checked against the drawing. For precision blades, review points can include length, width, thickness, flatness, parallelism, hole position, edge geometry and surface condition.

A practical control path

What We Confirm Before Production and Release

  1. 01

    Application Review

Cutting material, machine interface, speed, working conditions and the current failure mode.

  2. 02

    Route Planning

Material grade, machining, heat treatment, OKAMOTO surface grinding, surface finish and edge protection.

  3. 03

    In-process Control

Datums, critical dimensions, geometry and surface condition at the stages where they matter.

  4. 04

    Final Release

Drawing-based inspection, protected sharp edges, rust prevention and export packing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I send for a manufacturing review?

Send the blade drawing or sample dimensions, machine model, cutting material, operating condition, quantity and current problem. Photos of the blade holder, working side and worn edge are also useful.

Can MEIRENTE manufacture from an existing sample?

A sample can support reverse measurement and technical discussion. The final specification, material and acceptance points should still be confirmed before production.

Which dimensions are most important?

The priority depends on the application. Common controls include thickness, flatness, parallelism, bore or hole position, keyway, tooth profile, edge angle, runout and concentricity.

How is repeat-order consistency supported?

Keep the confirmed drawing, item number, material route, inspection points and previous performance feedback linked to the repeat order.

Does every blade use the same heat treatment?

No. Heat treatment depends on material, geometry, toughness requirements and operating conditions. The selected route should match the application.
