Decorative Plywood Panel Profile Cutting Blades
Profile cutting produces shaped decorative plywood components from approved CAD. Confirm the retained part, face orientation, grain direction, core construction, finish and minimum radii. Do not use a flexible-film waste-matrix model: rigid panel parts require support, feature-specific inspection and a documented part-removal sequence.

Where This Cutting Application Appears
Actual supplied workpiece
Confirm the supplied panel construction: face and back species or finish, core type, ply build, thickness, grain direction and any protective film. Columbia Forest Products lists multiple hardwood-plywood platforms and decorative faces; that supplier range is an example of construction variation, not a universal panel structure or MEIRENTE cutting claim.
Installed cutting setup
Record CAD datum, nesting, minimum radius, panel support, hold-down, original tool interface, feed path, extraction and part removal.
Cut output and inspection stage
Measure the released profile and inspect face, back, core plies, finish and critical features before and after part removal.
Profile Cutting process boundary
These pages concern downstream factory sizing, profiling or edge finishing of already bonded decorative plywood panels. They do not define structural grade, veneer grade, emission class, finish durability, cabinet design or installation acceptance.
Profile Cutting setup checkpoint
Mark face, back, material direction, retained edge or part and downstream functional surfaces before the controlled trial.
Profile Cutting acceptance checkpoint
Approve a replacement only from the original tool, machine interface and a controlled trial on the supplied construction.
Define the Required Cut Result
- Measure datum-to-feature positions, overall profile and critical radii against CAD
- Inspect face, back and core edge at every named corner and internal feature
- Check finish or protective film before and after part removal
- Record retained-part defects separately from skeleton, tabs and supplied-panel voids
Problems to Diagnose Before Changing the Knife
Contour position is wrong while local edge quality passes
Check CAD datum transfer, fixture location, machine path and panel movement under hold-down.
Face chipping repeats at one curve or internal corner
Compare path direction, local grain, radius, tool engagement and support at that feature.
The core breaks out or finish marks during part release
Inspect before release and review tabs, support, extraction, lifting direction and handling contact.

Acceptance Criteria for a Controlled Trial
Agree how the trial will be judged before changing the knife or machine setting.

Knife Forms That May Be Considered
| Possible knife form | When it may be considered | What must be confirmed |
|---|---|---|
| Original installed profile-cutting tool | Use as the reference when the existing machine is approved for the specified panel and geometry. | Verify interface, path, feed direction, critical features and labelled parts. |
| Matched scoring or finish-cut arrangement | Only where the installed machine and approved process use it for visible-face control. | Verify alignment and feature access; do not imply a universal panel solution. |

Questions About This Cutting Application
Can a tool be selected from the term decorative plywood panel alone?
No. Confirm the exact construction, material direction, installed machine, original tool and measurable acceptance limits.
Should plywood profiling use film-style waste-matrix rules?
No. Evaluate the rigid retained part, support, tabs or release method and each critical feature.
Why inspect the core at internal features?
A visible face may look acceptable while inner plies break out or separate at a tight feature.
