Decorative Plywood Panel Sheet Slitting Blades
For a rigid decorative plywood panel, “sheet slitting” should be read as straight-line panel division at the customer’s existing machine, not web slitting. Identify face/back veneers, finish or protective film, core construction and grain direction before trial. Inspect both retained panel edges because a dimension can pass while the visible face chips, a back ply breaks out or a core void becomes exposed.

Where This Cutting Application Appears
Actual supplied workpiece
Confirm the supplied panel construction: face and back species or finish, core type, ply build, thickness, grain direction and any protective film. Columbia Forest Products lists multiple hardwood-plywood platforms and decorative faces; that supplier range is an example of construction variation, not a universal panel structure or MEIRENTE cutting claim.
Installed cutting setup
Record panel support, fence or datum, clamping, feed direction, original cutting set and dust-extraction arrangement.
Cut output and inspection stage
Measure every divided panel and inspect face, back, core plies, finish and protective film along both retained edges.
Straight Panel Dividing process boundary
These pages concern downstream factory sizing, profiling or edge finishing of already bonded decorative plywood panels. They do not define structural grade, veneer grade, emission class, finish durability, cabinet design or installation acceptance.
Straight Panel Dividing setup checkpoint
Mark face, back, material direction, retained edge or part and downstream functional surfaces before the controlled trial.
Straight Panel Dividing acceptance checkpoint
Approve a replacement only from the original tool, machine interface and a controlled trial on the supplied construction.
Define the Required Cut Result
- Measure every divided panel for width, parallelism and squareness
- Inspect face, back and core edge for chip, breakout, delamination and exposed void
- Check finish or protective film at the retained edge where present
- Compare both retained edges and record any pre-existing panel defect separately
Problems to Diagnose Before Changing the Knife
Panel width drifts while edge quality remains similar
Check fence or datum movement, panel slip, feed alignment and spindle or holder position.
The decorative face chips while the back edge passes
Compare face orientation, scoring or first contact, feed direction and local support.
Core breakout or a void appears only on one retained side
Inspect ply build, exit support, original tool condition and whether the defect existed in the supplied panel.

Knife Forms That May Be Considered
| Possible knife form | When it may be considered | What must be confirmed |
|---|---|---|
| Original straight-line panel cutting set | Use as the reference when the installed machine already divides the specified panel construction. | Verify arbor or holder, scoring arrangement if present, kerf, rotation/feed direction and both retained edges. |
| Matched score-and-main cutting set | Only where the existing machine is designed for that arrangement and the visible face requires it. | Verify alignment, interface dimensions and labelled face/back samples; do not assume universal compatibility. |

Questions About This Cutting Application
Can a tool be selected from the term decorative plywood panel alone?
No. Confirm the exact construction, material direction, installed machine, original tool and measurable acceptance limits.
Is rigid plywood processed like a roll web?
No. This guide treats the title as straight-line division of an already bonded panel.
Can thickness alone determine the cutting set?
No. Confirm face, core, ply build, finish, machine interface and accepted edge samples.
