Ceramic Fiber Blanket Cut To Size Blades
Cross cutting separates defined ceramic-fiber blanket lengths. Number successive pieces, mark the fiber direction and measure actual feed, cut length and released length. Inspect the exit edge before transfer so a later folded edge or loose fiber is not automatically blamed on the knife.

Where This Cutting Application Appears
Actual supplied workpiece
Confirm the supplied ceramic-fiber blanket grade, fiber family, density, thickness, needling or binder, and any facing from its supplier sheet. Morgan lists distinct Cerablanket and Cerachem grades; neither is a universal construction or a MEIRENTE specification.
Installed cutting setup
Record feed increment, restraint, cutoff support, blade stroke, fiber control and discharge.
Cut output and inspection stage
Measure released length and squareness; inspect both ends before and after stacking.
Cut To Size process boundary
These pages concern supplied flexible blanket stock, not rigid refractory board, preformed modules or a furnace-lining certification. Use the actual supplier safety sheet and site handling controls for loose fibers.
Cut To Size setup checkpoint
Separate fiber release at the cut from compression, transfer and offcut-removal effects before judging a knife.
Cut To Size acceptance checkpoint
Approve a replacement only from the original blade, holder drawing and a controlled trial on the supplied grade.
Define the Required Cut Result
- Measure consecutive released lengths and diagonals
- Inspect both ends for complete separation and fiber bridges
- Compare loose fiber and face condition before transfer
- Record dimensional and edge changes after stacking
Problems to Diagnose Before Changing the Knife
Lengths vary while both ends separate
Check physical feed travel, slip and compression state.
Fiber bridges recur at the exit corner
Inspect final-contact support and the installed stroke.
End edge folds only in the stack
Compare numbered pieces before and after discharge.
ceramic-fiber insulation blanket Cut To Size Diagnostic

Acceptance Criteria for a Controlled Trial
Agree how the trial will be judged before changing the knife or machine setting.
- Measure consecutive released lengths and diagonals
- Inspect both ends for complete separation and fiber bridges
- Compare loose fiber and face condition before transfer
- Record dimensional and edge changes after stacking
Knife Forms That May Be Considered
| Possible knife form | When it may be considered | What must be confirmed |
|---|---|---|
| Supported transverse cutoff | Only where the station restrains the supplied blanket. | Verify stroke, holder and counter-surface from drawings. |
| Existing synchronized rotary cutoff | Only if the installed continuous-feed line is designed for that form. | Check timing and consecutive complete cuts. |

Questions About This Cutting Application
Can a knife be selected from the term ceramic-fiber insulation blanket alone?
No. Confirm the exact supplied grade, installed equipment, original tool and agreed trial limits.
Does a separated end prove the length is correct?
No. Compare the commanded feed with the released piece.
Why inspect before stacking?
It separates cut faults from transfer effects.
Public references and scope
These public sources provide material, cutting-method or safety context for this guide. Supplier pages describe their own materials or equipment; they do not establish a MEIRENTE blade specification or performance claim.
